Indefatigable 160 Years – Old Boys Association 41st Reunion 2024.

The 41st IOBA Reunion Dinner to be held on Saturday 8th June 2024 assembling by 19:00 hrs in the ‘1884’ bar, for dinner at 20:00 hrs.

Reunion Dinner Ticket price : £55.00 per person.

Ticket price to include : THREE Course Dinner, with two bottles of wine selection per table, after dinner music entertainment, there will be a Quiet Room.

Starter: Roasted Vegetable/Brie Filo tart (v) / Prawn & smoked salmon parcel (gf). Main Course: Salmon fillet (gf) / Mushroom Risotto (vg) / Chicken (gf) / Welsh Lamb (gf). Dessert: Eton Mess (v) (gf) (vg) / Sticky toffee pudding (v) / Cheesecake (vg).

Payment Instructions are all on the Booking Form, via BACS (bank transfer) or Cheque (postal address is included on the form), we regret not using Paypal due to additional costs.

The final cut off date for all bookings: Old School visit (JSMTC), AGM, Menu choice & Payments, now Friday 24th May 2024.

Registered totals attending confirmed as of : 22/04/2024 (School = 23 + / Dinner = 26).

Every Indefatigable Old Boy & IOBA Member attending ‘the ‘Reunion Dinner’ will receive a free enamelled memento ‘160th 2024 badge’ in marking the Indefatigable Training Ship anniversary.

IOBA Fund Raising raffle tickets will be available for sale for: Indefatigable Glassware. There will be an Auction (i.e. signed copy of the book ‘The Inde‘ (unused) by the late Reverend Canon Bob Evans & any other donations forthcoming) and a general Raffle Table.

Dress code : Smart

For those who wish to join the annual IOBA ‘Vibrant Shirt‘ night in aid of Prostate Cancer (2023 raised £300), this will also be held once again at Bangor University on the previous evening Friday 7th June, in the bar ‘1884’ with exclusive use for the evening.

The University are able to provide a hot buffet dinner for the Friday evening, but unlike last year, Evening Dinner reservations will be down to the attendee/s to reserve their own in advance *please see detail below Hot Buffet Options. It is the responsibility for members & guests to book their own accommodation, and catering requirements on the Friday night.

Friday 7th June Hot Buffet Options: £20.83 per person: 19:00> 21:00

Main Course: Steak & Ale Pie, with Chips & Veg (v) / Beef Lasagne, with Garlic Bread & Salad (vg). Dessert: Lemon Tart (v) (vg) / Summer Berry Roulade (v).

Single = £91, Double with single occupancy = £101, and double occupancy = £113, Twin single occupancy = £121, and double occupancy = £134, all are B&B.

Please state when booking accommodation, if you require Breakfast or not.

Unbooked rooms not reserved by IOBA attendees will be released back to the university having been block booked by the IOBA, these will be for Friday 7th June and Saturday 8th June evenings.

Wheel Chair users: Facilities are fully accessible for wheelchair users, please note that due to The Management Centre being a Grade II listed building, there is no lift access to the third floor bedrooms.

Parking : Parking is free on site and there is capacity for up to 100 cars.

Saturday DAY 8th June: Attendees arriving down at the Old School for 10:00. Scattering of the late Mark Palmer 1980/82 ashes at the Boathouse, 10:30>11:00, Back up at the School for Tea/Coffee/Beers for 11:30>13:00, AGM 13:30>15:00. Off site by 15:30.

Saturday NIGHT 8th June: Meet for drinks by 19:00 in the ‘1884 Bar‘, Dinner for 20:00. Bangor University.
